Homemade Beauty Solutions- With Baking soda, Lemons and Vinegar

Some great homemade beauty products can be made at home, by using simple every day kitchen products. Do it yourself is more and more popular lately and for good reason, as the results may just be worth the experiment.
Save money by making your own, and spoil yourself at the same time.
Body exfoliant
A great body exfoliant that is super easy to make simply add 3 parts baking soda to one part water to make a great paste for your whole body, gentle enough even for you face.
Rub gently into the skin in circular motions before rinsing off with warm water. ( experiment a little, by add a drop of your favorite essential oil into the mix for a personal scent)
Foot soak
dissolve 3 tablespoons of baking soda in a foot spa or a tub or warm or cold water, for a soothing softening soak. gently scrub to remove harder dyer skin.
Is also great in the bath, simply add 1/2 cup of baking powder to the bath to help neutralize acids on the skin and wash away oil and perspiration, has the wonderful effect of making your skin soft and smooth to touch.
Hand cleaner plus softener
great for killing odors and cleaning deep dirt, mix a paste of 3 parts baking soda to one part water or for something a little different replace the water with liquid hand soap. before rinsing off under running water.
Quick and easy mouthwash
one teaspoon of baking soda in glass of water, use like normal mouth wash, helps kill odors not just cover them up.
Add Highlights to brunette hair.
mix 1 cup of vinegar into a large glass with warm water rinse your hair after using shampoo. Said to add highlights to brunette hair as well as restores the acid mantel, and removes soap film.
Lighten hair
dampen hair with lemon juice and sit out in the sun for at least an hour, before rinsing the juice out.
Nail polish
Add a coat of vinegar to your nails using a cotton ball, before applying your color for a longer lasting finish.
Greasy hair?
a great way to deal with this is by mixing two tablespoons with one tablespoon of your normal shampoo, washing your like normal. your hair will be a lot less greasy and lighter, a great pick me up for you hair
Acne
by making a paste of baking soda and water, and gently applying to the pimple, you are creating a mini scrub, so rinse gently off with warm water after letting it dry out for about 10 to 15 minutes.

Shinny hair
Using the juice from a lemon and a cup of water to make a great rinse for your hair adding extra shine almost instantly
Dry scalp
To help treat a dry scalp heat 1/8 of a cup of olive oil adding half a lemons worth of juice. massage solution into scalp and leave for 10 to 15 minutes minutes before rinsing out and washing hair like normal.
Lighten skin
cut a lemon in half and rub over the skin to lighten age spots and dark freckles, Is also great on patchy elbow skin, best used everyday.
Blackheads
the citric acid in lemons is great for dealing with blackheads, smear lemon juice over the affected area and leave off night, can be used on the entire body. repeat everyday, until they dissolve.
always be careful of your eyes and nose, as well as genital areas if using as a full body treatment.
Bath oil
Fantastic recipe
8oz of honey
16 oz milk
16 tablespoons of salt, sea salt is best but you can use cooking salt
4 tablespoons of baking soda.
mix all the ingredients together except for the baby oil, in a large bowl, before pouring into a warm full bath, add a generous amount of baby oil and stir to mix into the bath.
Note. this recipe should always be made fresh.
Bath soak
A great relaxing bath, perfect for those tired muscles or hard day of work
16 tablespoons of sea salt
16 tablespoons of baking soda
225 ml of cheap shampoo
(can be made before hand or just added straight to bath)
fill the bath halfway, then add ingredients, add more water as you stir the mixture through the bath to spread out the bubbles, sit back and spoil yourself.
